The Role:

As the Director of Continuous Improvement at Centra, you will be at the forefront of driving our commitment to excellence. Your primary responsibility will involve spearheading the development and advancement of our lean maturity by implementing a diverse range of continuous improvement initiatives, best practices, and manufacturing programs. Leveraging your expertise in the field, you will adeptly identify opportunities for enhancing quality, boosting efficiency, and instigating meaningful process improvements. Your exceptional leadership and influence will foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization, empowering every team member to contribute to Centra's overall success.  

Embracing innovation and operational excellence, you will lead the charge in transforming our manufacturing processes, setting new industry benchmarks, and reinforcing Centra's position as a market leader in the vinyl window manufacturing and construction industry.

Core Accountabilities:

Continuous Improvement:

  • Acts as the primary owner, leading and coordinating all Continuous Improvement activities, driving a culture of excellence.
  • Champions Continuous Improvement, cultivating a Lean-based mindset and practices to support production performance targets and financial goals.
  • Utilizes data-driven analysis to proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies with best practices.

Product & Processes:

  • Investigates process improvements, recommends capital investments, and innovative approaches to enhance performance.
  • Demonstrates expertise in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to achieve optimal outcomes and surpass operational performance metrics.

Business Development:

  • Plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, providing valuable insights and direction.
  • Coordinates and leads the development of long-range business alternatives, ensuring alignment with goals.

People & Partners:

  • Leads cross-functional teams for sustained improvements, challenging conventional thinking.
  • Demonstrates inclusive leadership qualities, fostering an environment that values diverse perspectives.
  • Collaborates with business units to define operational targets and fosters goal alignment.
  • Serves as a mentor and trainer, nurturing a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Takes ownership of developing and continuously improving improvement programs at the site and business level.

Qualifications & Education:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Senior Continuous Improvement Manager position in the manufacturing sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt) is highly valued.
  • Additional certifications or training in continuous improvement methodologies and tools is advantageous.
