Sales Manager

We manufacture our own windows (hello, Canadian made!), we install our own products (no third parties here!), and we are experts in building envelope restorations. We’ve been in business for 38 years so we have had a lot of practice at getting it right – and now we have brought that expertise to the Alberta market. In spring of 2022 Centra acquired Supreme Windows based in Calgary. Supreme Windows has over 50 years of experience with manufacturing and installation. Position Overview:

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team by having an excellent understanding of not only Centra product and installation but also the region’s customers and competitors. A successful Sales Manager champions Centra’s guiding leadership principles with an OWN IT, customer-obsessed, people-obsessed attitude and builds a strong bench of sales professionals by promoting our brand and culture. They own the quality of the sales team through active management, leading by example, and achieving consistent performance targets.

As our Sales Manager, it will be your responsibility to build trust and be present and engaged with the team and every other department within Centra. You will be the single point of accountability for the Calgary sales team and work in collaboration with the VP of Sales, VP of Alberta, Install Manager, and VP of Manufacturing to set aligned goals that support the organization’s overall strategic objectives and vision.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Single point of accountability of the sales team and their success
  • Leading the team with active management in order to achieve consistent high performance with the goal of not only meeting targets but exceeding them
  • Interdepartmental liaison representing the sales team
  • Monitor results and key performance indicators and have the ability and willingness to openly discuss, accept constructive feedback and take action
  • Overcome constraints and barriers with internal partners by establishing trust, embracing conflict, and displaying a commitment to accountability
  • Carrying out ALL training and development including new hire training sessions. This entails continuous performance evaluations, development, and coaching of the team with an emphasis on leading Redline pipeline reporting for underperforming reps
  • Become the leading knowledge expert of our products, installation, quoting, customers and competitors
  • Leading daily and weekly team meetings. Run daily branch-specific Sales meetings twice per week, and attend a Sales and Installation meeting every week
  • Active attendance and understanding of all management meetings including business policies, financials, communications, coaching, training, etc. and use this to improve sales and the organization as a whole

Qualities you must have in order to be considered:

  • You are a visionary that uses creativity, collaboration, problem solving and decisive decision making in order to lead yourself and your team to new heights
  • You are a teacher that is eager to invest your time in training your team members throughout their career at Centra
  • Absolute determination to drive sales through your team, achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • You easily connect with people and building relationships is second nature
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills – always being there for your team and continually checking in on them
  • Technology is a tool you embrace in order to support the sales process and your team
  • Ability and willingness to travel for in-person meetings with sales personnel, customers, and partners to develop key relationships

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years Sales Management experience
  • Must have extensive sales experience with a proven sales track record
  • Sales experience in the construction industry a strong asset
  • Extensive knowledge of CRM, Salesforce, or any quoting technology
