Who are we?

OWN IT! It’s on the back of all of our shirts. This is because Centra is 100% Employee Owned. We believe in owning our actions and promises. We manufacture our own windows (hello, Canadian made!), we install our own products (no third parties here!), and we are experts in building envelope restorations. We’ve been in business for 39 years so we have had a lot of practice at getting it right – and now we have brought that expertise to the Alberta market. In spring of 2022 Centra acquired Supreme Windows based in Calgary. Supreme Windows has over 50 years of experience with manufacturing and installation. Their expertise, along with their values and culture, made this the perfect pairing.

Position:

As a Project Manager at Centra, you'll play a pivotal role in orchestrating multiple window projects to achieve not only our performance and profitability targets but also to exceed the expectations of our esteemed clients. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining meticulous communication and collaboration with clients, ensuring everyone is well-informed on project progress while effectively managing project risk. By spearheading projects with precision and finesse, you'll contribute to Centra's reputation for excellence and innovation in the industry.

Core Accountabilities:

• Project Oversight: Oversee multiple window projects, meticulously tracking schedules and budgets, while maintaining optimal communication levels to ensure successful project execution.
• Contract Compliance: Exhibit a profound understanding of all project documents, ensuring meticulous adherence to contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Uphold exceptional quality standards by orchestrating collaborative site visits and inspections, ensuring our projects meet the highest benchmarks.
• Effective Meetings: Champion the organization of essential project meetings, including pre-construction, status updates, and project close-outs.
• Transparent Reporting: Provide weekly comprehensive site reports, fostering internal transparency in unit completion progress and accurate forecasting.
• Conflict Resolution: Swiftly address conflicts with a solution-oriented mindset, ensuring project momentum remains uninterrupted.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks through stringent quality control, inspections, and clear communication practices.
• Health & Safety: Oversee Health & Safety aspects as needed, ensuring adherence to Worksafe BC regulations on your projects.
• Business Development: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and trades, contributing to Centra's business growth.
• Task Prioritization: Effectively prioritize project tasks and urgent issues to meet established deadlines, ensuring seamless project flow.
• Problem Solving: Independently tackle challenges by utilizing all available resources to research and devise practical solutions.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual with strong attention to detail. As an independent self-starter, you excel at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications we’re looking for:

• Construction Management and/or Construction Technology Degree
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar degree
• Building Envelope and Wood Frame Construction Knowledge.
• MS Project – Proficient
• CCDC Contracts – Proficient (Canadian Construction Contracts)
