Nominations are open for the 2025 Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest! If you know a deserving family or community hero in BC or Alberta who could benefit from free energy-efficient windows, we want to hear their story. One lucky nominee will receive a full home window replacement – absolutely free. Let’s change a family’s life together. Nominations close September 15th.
Nominate NowHome Renovation Contest – Changing Lives with New Windows
For our annual Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest, we whittle down hundreds of nominations from across BC and Alberta and gift and install custom-made, high-performance windows and doors for a family in need. In 2024 our winning family were the Trottiers. They’ll now enjoy lifelong home comfort thanks to the gift of new Centra Windows.
Centra Cares Charity Golf Tournament
Every year, we hold our annual golf tournament to fundraise for worthy causes. Centra Windows then matches those funds, dollar for dollar. In 2024, we raised $110,000 for the Ronald McDonald Houses of BC/Yukon & Alberta. Past recipients have included the Canadian Mental Health Association and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Global Impact Trips
Beyond our local communities, Centra team members regularly go abroad to help those in need. Past trips have included Guatemala, Mexico, Haiti, and Nicaragua. We’ve built schools, housing, and care homes, and also donated equipment. These experiences have always left a lasting impression on those who participate and the beneficiaries of these gifts.
Sponsorships and Other Initiatives
Centra Cares are proud annual sponsors of initiatives such as Toy Mountain and Tour de Cure, and our team members regularly donate their time to help feed those stuck in the cycle of poverty through NightShift Street Ministries – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Whether it’s rappelling down skyscrapers in support of Easter Seals or providing and installing all-new high-performance windows for a BCSPCA shelter, we’re always looking for new ways to give back.
How do we Give?
Centra is 100% Employee Owned, and our employees decide who Centra Cares helps. They nominate the causes closest to their hearts, and we support them through donations of funds, time, and energy-efficient windows and doors.

100% of your donation goes directly to the charities we support. Centra Construction Group performs all administration for the Centra Cares Foundation and does not charge the Foundation for these expenses. Our Board of Directors consists entirely of volunteers who take great joy in giving their time freely to help support Centra Cares initiatives.
