Meet the Window Geeks

Geek Level 1

Some contractors are surprised to learn that as well as offering supply only, our team is also heavily involved in the service, education, and consultation sides of window products and emerging technologies.

Introducing two talented Window Geeks from our technical team who are integral to these areas of our business. Read about their experiences and get to know the great experts you will be working with.

Adil Kapadia – Project Manager

Adil is a licensed professional engineer with an impressive technical background. He got his BASc from the University of Toronto, having majored in Civil Engineering. He spent over 8 years at various engineering consulting firms such as RJC, EXP, Pretium, and McIntosh Perry, with a focus on the rejuvenation of existing buildings.

He’s been a part of over 100 projects in the industrial, commercial, and residential fields. This has taken him all over Canada, from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. These projects have included the replacement of windows, doors, cladding, and roofing, parking garage repairs, building condition assessments, and reserve fund studies. Two aspects of the industry that interest him are finding economically feasible methods of retrofitting existing buildings for energy efficiency and incorporating sustainability metrics into construction projects.

We’re thankful to now have Adil as a member of the Centra family. He is our project manager for multi-family residential window, door, and cladding replacement projects across the lower mainland and Vancouver Island. Given his experience, he was perfect for the role and has proven to be a tremendous asset. To learn more about Adil, visit his LinkedIn page.

Alex Yeung – Sales Consultant

Alex attended the University of Ottawa, graduating with both a BASc in Civil Engineering and a BSc in Computing Technology, and has an EIT designation from Engineers and Geoscientists BC. He started in project management at Con-Force Structures, a precast concrete fabricator in Richmond. Eventually, he transitioned to more sales-focused roles, most recently as a Specification Consultant at ACO Group, a German manufacturer of drainage and stormwater management systems.

Throughout his career, Alex has contributed to some of the most prominent projects in Greater Vancouver. This has ranged from infrastructure projects such as the Canada Line to high-profile commercial projects like New Oakridge. His knowledge has also allowed him to become an engaging public speaker and educator, distilling and summarizing technical concepts to be more easily understood. All of this makes him a perfect fit for Centra, where he will be strengthening our reputation as the go-to company and technical resource for everything windows. To learn more about Alex, visit his LinkedIn page.

“The situation in the construction industry is very fluid right now, from fast-evolving design frameworks like the Step Code to COVID-related issues. Some see this as a challenging time, but I see it as an opportunity. We're ready and excited to help with your multi-family project.”
