Centra Cares: 2022 In Review

What a year! We couldn’t be more proud of what Centra Cares has accomplished in 2022 – we’ve donated over $230,000 to more than 50 charities! With a new year fast approaching, we’re taking a look back at some of the highlights.

Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest

Our annual home renovation contest saw our biggest transformation yet for a family in need! Not only did the very deserving Becky Dineson and her family have high-performance Centra Windows and doors installed – their house was also given a beautiful fresh paint job courtesy of Cutting Edge Custom Painting and Cloverdale Paint! The results were fantastic.

CCL Home Renovation

The Home Renovation Contest wasn’t the only major home makeover this year! Centra Cares and CCL also took part in a LifeApp initiative called Shower Sydney With Love, providing and installing another full house of windows. This was part of a bigger renovation which saw the local community come together to transform the family’s entire home.

Easter Seals Drop Zone

Another Centra Cares yearly tradition! Our Centra Cares Retro-fits rappelled down the side of Vancouver’s Guinness Tower, raising over $29,000 for Easter Seals which helps improve the lives of children and adults living with disabilities. Watch out for our adrenaline junkies again next year as they make their way down the side of another tower!

Month of Giving Back

While Centra Cares works throughout the year to help those in need, Christmas is the perfect time to show some generosity and love. Throughout December, we donate $500 per day to a local charity as part of Global BC’s Month of Giving Back initiative. It’s great to see these amazing yet often lesser-known causes getting the recognition they deserve.

Golf Tournament & Canuck Place

The Centra Cares Annual Golf Tournament was a huge success, despite it being one of the wettest days of the year! We raised $100,000 for our friends at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, a very deserving cause that is close to our hearts here at Centra. Members of our team dropped by to paint the toy shed for the children and present the cheque to the hospice.

Looking Ahead…

2022 has been an amazing year for Centra Cares, and we’re going to make 2023 even better! This year we acquired Supreme Windows of Calgary, which has now become the first Alberta branch of Centra Windows. Not only does this allow us to offer our custom-made, high-performance products to more customers, it also allows us to help people and support great causes in an entirely new region!
