Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest 2019

Do you know a deserving family who could use help with windows upgrades?

Now is your chance to nominate a family for the third annual Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest. Whether it’s gazing at a view or letting the light pour in on a sunny afternoon, windows are one of those features that make a house feel like a home. But the reality is that many families can’t afford to have new windows installed. That’s why the Centra Cares Foundation is stepping in to give one family in need a full house of brand new free windows – worth up to $15,000!

HOW TO NOMINATE:

We are accepting nominations from July 8 – August 8, 2019. It could be a member of your family, a close friend, your neighbour or even yourself. Nominations will be accepted through the contest page at centra.ca/nominate.  All you have to do is share your story. 

• Why are you or the person you are nominating deserving of this prize valued at $15,000?
• What does this family mean to you or the community?
• How has this family impacted those around them?
• How will this impact them if chosen?

You are allowed to nominate as many people as you feel are deserving of the chance to win a full house of windows. Last year a family’s dreams of home renovations became a reality.

When people think of much-needed home renovations, they look to the interior of their home. A lot of times, people neglect some of the most significant pieces to a home renovation project, the windows. They are more than just an aesthetic upgrade; windows provide much-needed health, safety and energy-saving improvements.  The opportunity to make a difference in the health, safety, and most importantly, the lives of a deserving family are just a few of the core reasons we do this every year!

New windows bring a wide range of benefits to the home as they allow the air to keep flowing in and out (preventing the formation of mould), and they help families save up to 8% on their energy bills as old windows and doors can be responsible for 40% of a home’s energy loss.
