As a returning winner, Centra Windows had a lot to prove. We were recognized specifically under the growth category, which is very fitting. In the three years since we initially won this award, our growth has been rapid. We’ve managed to achieve this without compromising our culture or letting it degrade. Our expansion into a new province and purchase of Supreme Windows has been a major success because of our culture – our dedication to our people and families shines through, and the exciting opportunities offered by Employee Ownership have meant buy-in from Supreme Windows employees was immediate.

Another reason behind our success with this award is our commitment to the wider community. We show the same care for those outside the organization that we do for our own people – that’s why we started the Centra Cares foundation, which has raised over $1.75 million for over 250 charities in BC, Alberta, and further afield. This year alone we have made major contributions to our communities, with our annual Centra Cares Golf Tournament raising funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association of BC and Alberta, and our Calgary arm donating a whole house worth of high-performance, UV-blocking windows for a young boy with a rare genetic condition.
