About the Home Renovation Contest

Each year, the Centra Cares Foundation, Centra Install Pros, and Centra Windows donate and install an entire home’s worth of energy-efficient windows – but it wouldn’t be possible without your nominations. Windows are one of the most essential components of the home, and they can positively impact a family’s health, safety, and well-being, offering improved air quality, enhanced security, and significant energy savings. Help us make a difference by nominating a neighbour, friend, family member, or even yourself! Let's come together to transform a family's home and future for the better.

Helping Families in Need

In 2025, our Employee Owners came together to bring Moira Kelly and her son James a home renovation years in the making. Moira is the devoted caregiver of James, who lives with Angelman Syndrome, and their home's failing windows had become a real health and safety concern – allergens and wildfire smoke seeping through worsened James' severe eye infections, while broken locks left the family relying on makeshift wooden sticks to stay secure. With their new windows and doors, all professionally donated and installed by our team, the Kelly home – and the Kellys themselves – are now warmer, safer, and full of hope. Welcome to the Centra Family, Moira and James!

Delivering a Fresh Start

In 2024, our Centra Employee Owners came together to install custom energy-efficient windows and new doors for Tanya Trottier and her daughters in Delta, BC. After losing her husband and facing a range of other challenges, Tanya’s dreams of home renovation fell apart. Rotting, drafty windows and a jammed patio door in her 1959 home were a severe detriment to the family’s comfort. The transformation brought energy efficiency, warmth, and quiet – no more hats to bed or 3 AM wake-ups from passing ships. A well-deserved fresh start for a resilient family!

Windows Truly Make a Difference

In 2023, the Davis family of Calgary received a very special gift – a whole house of high-performance Centra Windows. Their son Jake, facing an extremely rare DNA repair disorder, needed specialized windows to protect him from harmful UV radiation. Thanks to Centra and our amazing partners, Jake now has a safe haven at home. Centra's high-performance windows block 99% of UV A & B radiation, ensuring his well-being, and giving the Davis family the financial leeway to invest in other areas of the home to further protect their son.

About Centra Cares

We’re proud to have raised well over $2,500,000 in donations and helped over 250 charities through the Centra Cares Foundation. Our mission is to help families in need, with our Employee Owners nominating the causes closest to them each year. From financial contributions to hands-on support, such as supplying and installing energy-efficient windows and doors, providing aid in the form of food and clothing, or donating directly to charities helping those who need it most, we're committed to making a difference.

Terms & Conditions

The Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest is open to residents of Alberta & BC who live within a Centra Install Pros service area. Nominations open August 7th 2026, and close at midnight on September 14th 2026. Contest valid only for Supply & Install projects. Eligibility for single units in multi-family complexes are assessed on a case-by-case basis and will require approval from the strata council or condo board. Winner may receive window upgrades to high-performance Centra Windows products for their entire home. No cash alternative available. The contest will include media coverage. Offer is subject to change or cancellation without notice.
