Helping communities in Alberta and beyond.
At Centra, helping others isn’t a secondary consideration. It’s at the core of who we are, and guides us as a company.
Centra has long been committed to helping those in need. In 2015, Centra Cares became a registered charity to better support that mission.
Thanks to Centra Cares and the generosity and drive of our Employee Owners, we’ve raised over $1,750,000 and helped over 250 charities. We aim to support a wide range of causes, and every year our Employee Owners nominate the ones closest to their hearts. We then reach out to and assist these organizations, be it through financial donations, the supply of time and manpower, the donation and installation of energy-efficient windows and doors, the supply of aid in the form of food and clothing, or through humanitarian work.
We’re proud of our teams and everything they’ve managed to accomplish, and as our company grows, so does our capacity to help others. Learn about some of the important work we’ve done below!
Changing a Family’s Lives with New Windows
Centra’s first Alberta Charity Home Renovation was undoubtedly our most important ever. The Davis family were in dire need of new windows, ones that would improve the life – and lifespan – of their son Jake. Jake suffers from a DNA repair deficiency, and it was our honour to be able to transform his home into a safe haven by blocking harmful UV radiation.
Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation
Following Centra’s acquisition of Calgary’s Supreme Windows, we were proud to make one of our first charitable contributions in the province to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. We donated $10,000 to this very worthy cause – starting as we mean to go on.
Centra Cares Charity Golf Tournament
Every year, we hold our annual charity golf tournament to fundraise for worthy causes. Centra Windows then matches those funds, dollar for dollar. In 2023, we raised $247,500 overall, with a large portion of that going to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Alberta.
