About the Role

The Director of Operations for Door Production will serve as the single point of accountability for Centra’s door business. This role is responsible for building and leading an independent, high-performing division dedicated to door production. You will oversee every aspect of operations, including scheduling, production flow, staffing, quality assurance, procurement, and financial performance.

More than operational leadership, this role is about total product and customer ownership. You will ensure that every door meets Centra’s highest standards from design to service, embodying a cradle-to-grave approach to quality and performance. You will guide the division’s growth strategy, champion product innovation, and represent the business in the market.

This is a transformational role designed for a leader who wants to build a business within a business. You will be accountable for profitability, operational excellence, and the overall customer experience, turning vision into reality and setting a new benchmark in the industry.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead and oversee all door production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes that meet quality and delivery targets.
• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, maintaining the highest standards from design to installation support and long-term service.
• Manage the division’s profit and loss performance, driving revenue growth and operational profitability while optimizing costs and resource allocation.
• Build and develop an independent, specialized team focused on accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Establish a culture of ownership and pride, encouraging innovation and problem solving at every level.
• Represent Centra’s door division at trade shows, industry events, and with key customers, strengthening the brand’s market position and reputation.
• Collaborate closely with sales, R&D, procurement, and service teams to align operational capabilities with market needs and customer expectations.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, introducing new technologies and operational strategies that drive long-term growth and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior or director-level role.
• Proven track record managing full profit and loss responsibility and delivering strong financial and operational results.
• Deep technical expertise in manufacturing processes, quality systems, and operational excellence.
• Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing, independent teams with a strong accountability culture.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect operational decisions to overall business strategy and financial performance.
• Experience representing a business externally and building credibility with customers, trade partners, and industry peers.
• Passion for product innovation and continuous improvement, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
