The Role

As Centra’s Director of Procurement, you’ll take full ownership of all direct and indirect spend across our Windows Manufacturing Division, leading a procurement team that supports both our Langley and Calgary plants. This isn’t a behind-the-scenes role—you’ll be a visible, floor-engaged leader who thrives in complexity, brings discipline and clarity to a fast-moving supply chain, and ensures nothing slips through the cracks. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with production, finance, and R&D to align procurement decisions with operational needs, negotiate major contracts, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, and enforce systems that protect our schedules, margins, and growth. You’ll bring foresight, pressure-tested judgment, and an uncompromising focus on execution to keep our plants moving, our teams equipped, and our costs under control.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading procurement operations across Centra’s Windows Manufacturing Division, overseeing sourcing, contracting, inventory alignment, and vendor performance
• Being actively engaged on the manufacturing floor and in daily operations to understand real-time needs and prevent material-related downtime
• Managing and mentoring a multi-location procurement team, ensuring strong accountability, consistent execution, and alignment with company goals
• Negotiating contracts and major vendor agreements with a focus on cost control, continuity, and total value—not just lowest price
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, R&D, Finance, and Operations to support schedule adherence, innovation, and margin protection
• Establishing, maintaining, and enforcing systems and tools that drive data accuracy, procurement transparency, and scalable growth
• Proactively identifying risk in the supply chain and building contingency plans to protect our customer commitments
• Driving supplier performance through structured KPIs, regular reviews, and a no-excuses approach to accountability
• Supporting Centra’s succession planning by developing your own leadership skills and preparing others to step up and lead

Qualifications

• 10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment; experience in custom, high-volume, or value-added manufacturing is strongly preferred
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a director or senior management role, managing direct reports and cross-functional collaboration
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; SCMP, CPSM, or equivalent designation is an asset
• Proven track record negotiating complex contracts and vendor agreements with measurable cost control results
• Strong working knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms; experience implementing or optimizing procurement systems is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent communication, influencing, and conflict resolution skills across multiple levels and functions
• Experience building and enforcing procurement processes, tools, and reporting frameworks
