What’s the Job?

We’re hiring a Junior Service Technician to join our Supply Only Service team in Calgary. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to inspect and support the performance of Centra’s high-end windows on large multifamily construction sites. We don’t install windows on these jobs—but we do stand behind them, and that’s where you come in.

You’ll perform quality checks, assist with field repairs, prep for water testing, and handle site documentation. You’ll also learn our product systems inside and out, get hands-on training, and gain confidence in resolving technical issues with professionalism and care.

This is a great role for someone who’s proven they can handle field work with minimal supervision and wants to grow into a lead tech role over time.

Core Accountabilities

• On-Site Service Support – Assist with minor repairs, water testing, sealing issues, and product inspections. Support the Lead Tech and learn through doing.
• Professional Job Site Presence – Communicate respectfully with site supervisors and trades. Represent Centra with a clean, professional attitude on active job sites.
• Technical Learning – Build your knowledge of Centra’s product systems and service processes. Learn site safety, quality standards, and what great field execution looks like.
• Documentation & Communication – Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and issues found. Keep your Lead Tech informed and stay aligned on site priorities.
• Readiness & Safety – Show up prepared. Follow all safety protocols and site-specific rules. Help maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of experience in a technical, construction, or service-related field—ideally with exposure to window, door, or envelope systems.
• Strong hands-on ability—you’re comfortable with minor repairs, inspections, and supporting more complex work without needing constant direction.
• Familiar with construction site expectations—you understand basic safety practices, documentation standards, and how to communicate respectfully with site supers and trades.
• Reliable, organized, and ready to work—you show up on time, follow through, and keep your tools and notes in order.
• Eager to learn—you take feedback well, ask good questions, and want to build a long-term career in field service.
• Able to travel locally to active construction sites throughout Alberta, with a clean and professional appearance on site.
