At Centra’s Calgary manufacturing plant, every high-performance vinyl window we produce starts on the shop floor — and it’s your job to make sure nothing slows it down. As our Plant Supervisor, you’ll be the right hand to the Plant Manager, running daily operations, keeping production on track, and leading the team with a visible, hands-on presence. You’ll step in where needed to solve problems in real time, hold people accountable, and make sure every shift runs smoothly.

This is a role for someone who thrives in the action, not behind a desk. You’ll lead from the floor, push for results, and create an environment where safety, quality, and performance are non-negotiable. You’ll also free up the Plant Manager to focus on strategic priorities by taking full ownership of daily execution, communication, and team leadership.

The Role

As Plant Supervisor, you’ll oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and the line is resourced to succeed. You’ll lead and coach the team, tackle performance or process issues head-on, and maintain strong coordination between production, maintenance, and logistics. You’ll represent the Plant Manager when needed, making confident decisions that keep things moving and reinforcing Centra’s culture of professionalism and urgency.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading daily operations on the vinyl production line to meet or exceed output, quality, and safety targets
• Acting as the Plant Manager’s key support, taking ownership of daily execution so they can focus on strategic priorities
• Addressing performance and behavior issues in real time, providing coaching, and building team capability
• Organizing and resourcing each shift, ensuring labor, materials, and tools are in place before production starts
• Removing roadblocks quickly to minimize downtime and keep production flowing
• Coordinating with other departments (maintenance, logistics, leadership) to prevent bottlenecks and miscommunication
• Setting the tone for professionalism, urgency, and pride in workmanship
• Keeping leadership informed of risks, successes, and solutions — not just updates

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a production or manufacturing leadership role, ideally in building products or a similar technical/assembly environment
• Experience supervising teams in a fast-paced, high-volume plant
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
• Proven track record of meeting production targets and driving team performance
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• A visible, hands-on leadership style — you lead from the floor, not the office
